Got kids? Eligible families get extra grocery dollars this summer!

NH Summer EBT (S-EBT) is here! S-EBT gives families a one-time payment of $120 per eligible child to buy food during the summer months when students don’t have access to free or reduced-price meals at school.

  1. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has reached out to eligible families that participated in the SNAP, Medicaid, or TANF programs during the 2024-2025 school year – those that qualify will be automatically enrolled in S-EBT unless they opt out through DHHS.
  2. Families that participated in the National School Lunch Program but DID NOT participate in SNAP, Medicaid, or TANF may also be eligible for S-EBT but MUST provide their address through the DHHS address portal between July 15th and August 26th, 2025.
  3. People who were not enrolled in any of the programs or free and reduced but whose incomes are under 185% FPL can apply on the NH Easy website

For more information about S-EBT, visit www.dhhs.nh.gov/summerebt.

Congregate & Home Delivered Meal Services

Congregate meals services are offered in a variety of settings. They are funded by the Older Americans Act along with other related nutrition services. In addition to serving healthy meals, this program presents opportunities for social engagement, information on healthy aging and meaningful volunteer opportunities, all of which contribute to an individual’s overall health and well-being.

Home delivered meals services provide nutritious meals along with nutrition and health information. These meals may be the first in-home service that an older adult receives, and the program serves as a primary access point for other home and community-based services.
